Units responding to reports of a Pennington Avenue crash found officer Keona Holley with gunshot wounds to her head, hand and leg around 1:30 a.m. last Thursday, and shell casings in a parking pad across the street, the outlet says citing court documents.

Around 3 a.m., Justin Johnson, 38, was shot dead on Lucia Avenue, and authorities believe the same suspects were responsible: Travon Shaw, 32, and Elliot Knox, 31.

Then, Shaw was apparently informed Johnson owed one of the men money. That's when Knox said he saw Shaw walk toward Johnson's car and allegedly fire a small gun and then a loud gun, according to court documents.

Holley remains in critical condition and on life support at Shock Trauma while the two men accused of shooting her were formally charged on Friday. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.
